Cloud-Native Banking Transformation

A major consumer banking institution set out to build a world-class digital access platform as part of a multi-year modernization program. The objective was to replace aging proprietary software with a highly available, secure, high-performance cloud-native architecture.

Blue Spire architected an API-driven, microservices-based platform on a containerized PaaS foundation. The transformation included blue-green deployment for zero-downtime releases, automated vulnerability detection, secret management to decouple credentials from source code, and full-stack delivery of a device-agnostic experience including remote check deposit and mortgage account management.

Account summary load times improved from over 60 seconds to 15 seconds. The bank transitioned to an open-source container platform and decommissioned legacy proprietary components. New customer digital account opening was streamlined to as little as five minutes.
